Option 2
Also from here there is again a chance to return to Naturns, the starting point, by going down to the railway station Töll on the Etsch. It takes approx. 15 to 20 minutes.
Partschins, at the exit of the Vinschgau, quite close to Merano, is the destination of our hike on this marvellous day in spring.
Our destination Partschins, to which the fractions Rabland and Töll belong, has approx. 3.350 inhabitants and is particularly well known for its cascade in the Zielbachtal, with the same name.
Another centre of attraction in this town is the Typewriter Museum in memory of the carpenter and inventor Peter Mitterhofer, who lived in Partschins.
A clearly visible focal point is the late gothic Parish Church St. Peter and Paul, surrounded by narrow lanes and historic ruins, like f.i. the Stachlburg from the 13th century, which today houses the castle’s winery.
Also from here there is again a chance to return to Naturns, the starting point, by going down to the railway station Töll on the Etsch. It takes approx. 15 to 20 minutes.
In Partschins we allow ourselves a good long rest in an ice-cream parlour and continue our journey at 12.45 o’clock with the following alternative:
Via „Peter-Mitterhofer-Weg“ 10A we leave Partschins in the direction of Oberplars and Köstenwaldele.
After crossing the Töllgraben (ditsch) on a small bridge we choose pass No. 10 in the direction of the Törgelehof. Here we keep to the left past Töllerhof towards Oberplars.
On the left hand we pass Hofer (13.30 h). At the Oberwiesterhof we get to the roadway and turn to the left.
We leave the roadway directly at the Widmairhof and walk on the right hand side slightly downhill (still asphalted) to Leiter am Waal and Algunder Waal.
